Electroplating Power Supply and Distribution
Power supply is a prerequisite for electroplating production. Power supply and configuration of power supply equipment should be arranged according to plating production program and certain growth rate.
(1) AC power supply
AC power supply in plating sites must take into account the total power supply capacity of the whole site, including production power (rectifier power supply, heating, mixing, circulating filtration, cathode movement, dryer, etc.) and management power (test equipment, computers, lighting, etc.). The classification list of all electrical equipment should be counted, including equipment category, name, number of units, mode of use of electricity (three-phase, single-phase, AC or DC), single-machine power, etc. After summarizing the total power consumption, together with the loss factor and the fluctuation of power consumption, the capacity should be enlarged appropriately as the total capacity of AC power supply. When there are many single-phase equipments, the balance of three-phase load should be paid attention to in power supply distribution. All incoming wires should be introduced into plating sites through anticorrosive pipelines, and then separated through distribution boxes or cabinets. Large-scale places should have special distribution rooms.
Because of the chemical corrosion and wet environment in plating production sites, the safety of the circuit is very important when the power supply is allocated to various appliances. Now the popular distribution scheme is to determine the process layout before the design, basically determine the location of the electrical equipment, and then distribute the special distribution cell or pipeline to the electrical appliances, so as to ensure the safety and maintenance of electricity. A certain distribution potential should be reserved, and temporary wiring connection in plating places is strictly prohibited.
In order to save electricity and prolong the service life of equipment, meters should be installed in every professional production line, and the production power consumption should be counted and assessed, and the production cost should be included. For time-consuming facilities, there should be automatic power-off devices, and heating facilities should have automatic temperature control devices. Normally working electrical appliances should have power failure and short circuit alarm devices.
